Yes ... Sarko won

It is long time that I follow Sarkozi ... when he was the interior, and then finance minster. I don't look at him as a right politician, even I have sympathy with liberal system, but what he said and what he did was more mportant. He is the kind of person who act more than talk, and this is what a country like France need. It is interesting that even in an old democracy you still need powerful characters in the power to move things further. It's long time that in some European countries the circle of laziness of people cover with social ideas keeps politicians in power. Now I am happy that most of French people seems to be ready for changes, and this will definitely effects other countries in region like Belgium. So, I wish Sarkozi keeps his promises and do what he said in near future.

300 and Iranian reaction

Iranians found a new thing to fights for: 300 (The movie). So what? I think such a reactions are the syndrome of a disease that infect the Minorities! Do we became a minority? A sencible minority who can not tolerate even a comic strip about thousand years ago?

Iranian Football ...

I said about the similarity between every thing in Iran. Now looking to our football! Then another example .... not organized, not systematic and here the result. I am asking my self is it possible to even think about some thing that should be right in Iran, when logically every thing is messed up ... I don't think so.

What an interesting similarity!

Did you know that every thing in Iran is very well sets.

Look at the both side of our politics, or even the third side, People. Look at our media, our hardliners in both side, our bloggist, also look at our president. See our family, our schools, look at our busses, streets … do you mention that similarity?

Who said that Ahmadinejad came to power by fraud? It is his place, even with small doze of manipulations. But who don’t? Me? You? Your brother? Or father? We all do that … every day …

Who said that Velayat-e Faghih is not what Iranians want, it is what in our families circulates. Look at our self …

Evry body sais the government Lie? Lie? Every body lies in this country. Even a 6 years old kid lie … is not that bad actually … we can not survey without that … don’t repeat it any more.

Government doesn’t work for the country! Oh, yes … they don’t … but do you? do we? Come on … Work is for donkey in our country, did you forgot it? We have even slang about it!

I really believe this famous sentence: Every nation has the government they deserve.

Can we think?

Recently I read a book in Persian from an Iranian philosopher, Aramesh Doustdar who lives in Germany. The title is “Refusal of thinking in religious culture”. I hope the translation is quite right.

In brief it said that there is a fundamental difference between Islam and Christianity or Judaism in terms of Thinking. There were potentials in Iranian civilization to accept Islam. Islam without Iran could not spread like what it did. The Iranians although they think that they changed Islam, they lost their power of thinking. That’s why we don’t have any great Philosopher afterward. He gives lots of examples throw the Iranian poets and scientists and proves that they could not think (as Dekart) because even they are very smart but the limits of their religion did not let them go to the end. And …

And I look around … I see myself … and the others … he is right … can you point in our recent history any body like Jean Paul Sartr, Victor Hugo, Carl Poper or even Noam Chomsky, Fokoyama, or … nothing exist.

Cockroach

For God's Sake some one tell me what happen in this country? Look at this thiny cartoon for children. It says that:

... Cockroaches do not know human languages. And their own "Cockroachy" language is very difficult which even 80% of them can not speak, that's why they prefer to use other languages. When the Cockroaches can not understand their own language, how you can? ....

In the cartoon the boy try to conjugate a verb in "Cockroachy" language ... Cockroach, Cockroachy, Cockroaching ..... and the Cockroach says in Azeri (Turkish): I don't understand.

So some of our 24% Azeri minority in Iran (Turkish speaking of Iran) think that this cartoon offened them, then they did what ever they could against the newspaper. Now the cartoonist, Mana Neyestani and his editor are in jail and the paper has been banned!

Do you think that was offences? I don't think so ... because it said they prefer to speak other languages, it did not said that Cockroaches, speak Azeri ... it might be in Persian, English or Arabic without any harm as well ...

Where we live?

Democracy

It’s been long time that I am thinking whether a democratic government for a country like Iran is the only solution? Or it’s a non scene phantasm of politicians, dreamers and idealists?

Do a democratic system make people democrat or it should be some and more characteristics to become a democratic nation?

Do Europeans or Americans become democrat suddenly by decision of some politicians? Or at first the society has been changed and some values like individualism and responsibility became normal? And also before that the economy and the way people deal with each other changed?

More I watch Iran less I see any of the values that made west democrats. May be can’t see well … so what do you see?
